Free Transform Shortcuts in Photoshop  - or

Photoshop Free Transform Keyboard Shortcuts

category: graphics, digital photography and image editing

You can do anything with Free Transform (Ctrl+T) more quickly if you know the keyboard shortcuts rather than selecting one option at a time from the Transform menus, even the Free Transform popup (right click anywhere in the image window).

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

SCALE: Hold Alt and drag any handle.

ROTATE: Drag outside the bounding box.

FLIP any old way: In this case maybe you should use the popup (right click anywhere in the image window).

SKEW: Just Ctrl drag a side handle. Add the Shift key to constrain the slant.

DISTORT: Ctrl drag one of the corner handles.

PERSPECTIVE: Hold Ctrl+Shift+Alt and drag a corner handle.

To repeat the last transformation on another object, press Ctrl+Shift+T.
